Vestibular Rehab Therapy
Vestibular rehabilitation is an exercise-based program, designed by a specialized physical therapist, to improve balance and decrease dizziness-related problems.
The evaluation of patient’s symptoms, review medical history and recognize any balance problems in gait, neck motion, visual stability, as well as the analysis of other possible problem areas. Based on the judgments, a plan of care is formed. The purpose of the treatment plan is to improve any shortfalls that were recognized. This, in turn, will increase the patient’s ability to function in activities of everyday living, reduce the risk of falling, and ultimately, improve patient’s quality of life.
